Themes we liked - focus/ using food; setting in a different place made us all think about holidays we can't have; like the language used; guessing what was going to happen to characters and being wrong!

I was hooked in the beginning. But I really couldn't connect with Solo. He takes far, far too long to actually understand
his mom, despite her telling him she was abused!! And when he does it's another man he barelh knows saying it???? F*** off.
I loved Chetan's story and Betty's too but
a murder thats not cleared up??? Annoying

This book was too depressing, sad, too full of sex and no point or purpose although i did like the relationship he had with their boarder, it was sweet at times…

What a great book! Narrated by the author who not only writes beautifully, she also has a lovely voice and tells us her story in a way that adds more meaning to the words on the page. This is the first time I have both listened to the audio and read the book simultaneously, switching back and forth between them because both formats had something extra to offer.
