This may well be my favorite book in the series.

No, you can't read it without reading the previous two, but I do think it's a lot of fun.

The Trilogy (!) is as of today, for me, the best dark urban fantasy I have read. I really like the way, Lukyanenko creates the grimy, dark atmosphere.

This is my favorite of the three. Jumps around less and has a more linear story - but that's not why it's my favorite. This one delves deeper into the mythology and history of the Others and I love that world becoming more real. As the title would lead you to think, this book isn't told from the perspective of one of the members of the Night Watch or Day Watch so much as it's a story about them both.

Great book.

So good! Was it better than the first one? I can't really remember. However, it is absolutely fantastic. Better than Day Watch, which was still good. Wow!

Wow. Stunning book, loved it, loved it! How everything folded and unfolded, how beautiful the words danced into paper/screen. If I missed Anton in "The Day Watch", having him back now was a piece of heaven; I love this character. I'm really happy that it made a comeback. And the new ones that were introduced... I wonder what will come with them. I have high hopes:D

I can say that I was expecting something different towards the end, a slight note of disappointment that quickly washed away when I understood that it couldn't have been another way around it, it made sense.

This book reveals all those things that were slippery to Anton in the previous two books. Now he's more mature, he learns more things, but at the same time he doubts more. I just love what's happening with him, what things he has to face and the discoveries he makes.

I love all the books, but this one is by far the best.

I like this series. It gives a different feel for the fantasy world than I've seen. Good and Evil as political factions with different ideologies. And, a gritty realism I like.

I was hoping this book would be from the Twilight Watch's perspective, but it was just more focused on it.
