Love triangles are a bit overextent. Redemption over confession is very guilt ridden, but at least the story carries on in interesting ways.

This volume was probably my favorite so far!! Not too thrilled about the love triangle but everything else was absolutely fantastic. The alternate dimensions chapter was really interesting, and I’m excited for what the story is building up to with the reveal of Nolan’s books!

Book Summary:

Mark Grayson has always known he had a better-than-average chance of succeeding with superpowers. After all, his father has them and promised to inherit them someday. This helped prepare Mark for superhero life long before those powers came to be.

Mark is back home safe and sound, and things are settling for his family. Well, sort of. So, of course, now is the time that Angstrom Levy decided to strike. His move will forever change Mark. Meanwhile, ROBOT is moving forward with the next step in his plan.

My Review:

It's time to dive back into a world of superheroes and mayhem! Sorry, I'm excited. I took a few weeks off from reading Invincible (not by choice – I had to wait for my book order to arrive), so it's pretty nice to be back at it.

Okay, so as usual, there's a lot to unpack in Invincible Vol. 7. It's incredible how Robert Kirkman and crew manage to keep making plot arcs that hit so freaking hard. In this case, the punch was both expected and unexpected. We all knew that Angstrom Levy was coming for Invincible; he said as much. But I was so surprised by how that fight went.

As for the other main plot of this volume, I already knew at least a little bit about it. The TV show is ahead in that regard, though I think I'm almost caught up. There are some interesting implications, though, and I'm curious to see how it all pans out.

There are at least half a dozen subplots or early threads for new arcs woven into Invincible Vol. 7. I'm always impressed by how many threads this series has going at any one time.

Highlights:
Part of a Series
Superhero Teen
Coming of Age with a Twist
Now an Amazon TV Series

What a fantastic issue . It seems Invincible keeps getting better with each volume .

But before I start , can anyone confirm , are all the Invincible volume names derived from US TV shows ?

The main focus of the story was in developing the love triangle and the relationship between Mark and Amber and this was handled with the help of the suitmaker buddy of Mark , who acts like a father figure to advice Mark move ahead .

But between this relationship progression was a fantastically written Hostage situation which featured some cameos from a friendly neighborhood hero and a certain Dark Knight , those cameos aside the end of this Hostage scene was brutal and asked a big question of the No-kill policies of certain heroes and anger issues of the Viltrumite race .

There's also the developing relationship of Mrs Grayson and the alien baby and yet again we are shown the suffering that Mrs Grayson suffers for being in a super family and also shows the strength she possess to still be at the side of her son after all that suffering .

As I said , it's another fantastic issue , so far my favorite in the Invincible run , and I can't recommend this title highly Enough

These past two collections have been phenomenal. They’re starting to really drift into that grey area with Invincible killing Levy. Even though I’m pretty sure he returns later.

I loved the meta comedy with Batman and Spider-Man as well during the brilliantly put together Angstrom fight. Angstrom Levy was a true villain, evil in every way and I love that. Seeds from earlier volumes are starting to be harvested.

It seems like the stories are becoming more fluid and complete with seeds from earlier works being realized fully now.

The love triangle is pretty well done as well, alongside the budding romance of Robot and Monster Girl, and I really did enjoy the sci-fi novels being the key to stopping Vultrum for later.

Another great read.

The lull that I thought would come after the excellent sixth volume never came, as Kirkman continues to weave compelling issue after compelling issue. Smart, interesting story-telling and stellar artwork. All you can ask for in a comic book.

This one features the return of Angstrom Levy, some long-overdue answers about what the heck was going on with Robot, and some really cool alternate-dimension stuff with heavy future-implications.
