I don't believe I've read anything from Rebecca Yarros before this book but I'm about to stalk her backlist STAT. This book was *amazing*. I fell head over heels for Nixon & Zoe. This is one of my favorites of 2020.

I don’t know what happened with this book for me, but it was as if two different people were writing it. One chapter was amazing but the next was just “there”. Despite that, Nixon is my favorite member of the band! I definitely recommend reading if you’ve read the other two in this series.

I enjoyed the story a lot. The sex scenes are more graphic than I enjoy reading.

3.5 stars. Unfortunately this hero was more interesting in the previous book. Still, I think it's quite a feat for 3 different writers to write about a cohesive trilogy about the same characters.

I loved Zoe. She had such a caring nature and she was a really good partner for Nixon. But I kinda disliked Nix. I didn't really felt connected to him at all. I knew he had some troubles from his past and trying to stay sober but the comments he made were just very rude. Being hurt and hurting someone, knowing you are wrong, means you are just a bad person.
But Zoe.. she was awesome. She is the kind of person that gives all to people without asking anything back for it. And that is exactly what happend. So 4 stars.
