Let's first start with this was the classic brother best friend book but honestly he was also her bestfriend too, he spent quarter being blind then another quarter being an asshole and then the remaining being the sweetest cutey. I love how though they had issues he was still there for her in his own way . Plus I'm inlove with jax please like his the perfect friend fr .

We start off with them being literal children & meeting. Then she get older and just lets her family& their friends control her life. Once she said I was done letting them make decisions for me, & not 4 paragraphs later she does whatever they want her to. The MMC, unless you were in his head, you didnt actually know he wanted her. The FMC said it multiple times that she knew he didn’t see her as more than a sister and still she consistently threw herself at him! I honestly didn’t see this book getting any better. They had sex and he immediately says he loves her and would do anything for her just to abandon her when she literally needs him the most?!?

“You have no idea how long I’ve been waiting to do that.” I stiffened and tilted my head to the side. “You mean kiss me?” I looked at the hollow at the base of his neck, unable to meet his gaze. “You never even looked at me.” He laughed and kissed me again before speaking against my mouth. “I’ve never looked away.”

Is it possible for books in this series to keep getting better and better? The answer is yes! Yes, it is possible.

This book took me on a wild emotional rollercoaster ride. Lots of angst, laughs, swooning, and crying. These two were made for each other but there were a lot of outside factors that kept them apart. They both had a lot to work through in order to come together and it was totally worth the wild ride they took me on. There was so much chemistry between Lucas and Piper that you knew they just couldn’t fight it forever, I was not disappointed when the time came it was just what happened after that I was not ready for. I enjoyed every single second of this book and I couldn’t put it down. Lucas is very protective of Piper not only because she is his best friend's sister but because he wants her to be more than that to him even if his best friend tells all the guys she is off limits. Piper’s and Lucas's friendship grows over the years and for her, it becomes more than friendship but she knows he will not cross the line if he doesn't see her the same way she sees him. This is where the angst is heavy and the same with their chemistry because how long can they both resist it? Ahh, I just can’t say enough great things about their story.

I’m pumped for the next book in the series as things are looking to get even hotter.
