Nicco is an a$$ plain and simple. A cocky jerk who needs put in his place. I don't like him much even reading from his prospective. Kinda just wanted him to lose out. However like all bad boys he starts to grow on you like a pair of super cute shoes that are such a pain to wear but you love them so can't toss em'.
Parker is such a doll and a sweetheart. I just wanted to wrap him in bubblewrap so the world couldn't hurt him.

I was able to read all four books and loved them. That said they were all very NA in the sexy times department. They weren't fade to black but not much to get you fired up either. I didn't rate them based on that because I loved the stories and thought they deserved what I gave them, but sexy times were more 3/5 than a 4. Keep in mind I'm an erotic romance reader and descriptions are my cherry on top. ;)

Thank you Liz for some hot soccer players and the push to use my imagination. ;)

What a fantastic book! Liz Crowe, you are an amazing author. Parker Rollings wanted to play soccer. He didn't want to quit and go to med school like his parents wanted. He also didn't want to marry Christie like they wanted. He always suspected he was gay. After his parents disowned him he accepted Rafael Inez's offer to play for the Detroit Black Jack Gentlemens expansion soccer team. The first time Parker laid eyes on team bad boy Nicolas Garza, the sparks flew. The only thing Parker didn't expect was Nicco's addiction and how far Nico would go to push him away.

Great story line. The further I read into Nicco's issues and the reasons for it all, the more I wanted to wrap my arms around him and tell him it would be okay. There was a depth to the story that I wasn't expecting and that's what made it a five star read for me. I can't wait for the next book in the blackjack gentleman series

After having read three books by this author I have come to conclude they are just not for me. Each one has something about it that I just do not enjoy. In this book I just could not respect the character or the choices they made.
