Such a good series! Wheeler is imaginative with his world, characters, and plot pieces.

This book was great. I need to know what happens to Cettie, Sera and Fitzroy and I need to know if that bitch Corinne finally gets what she deserves.

3.5 stars. I am liking this series, and I would have continued to the next one ... but it's not out yet. I'd read Wheeler's first Muirwood series many years ago, and this is my second foray into his world, WHY did I pick the latest/unfinished series? I'm a little mad at myself that I didn't go with one of the others (Kingfountain or Queen's Poisioner). Not only are they done, but they precede this book. Not that I have to have read them, but I think it would have been better in that order. My bad.

Here again, we've jumped forward in time a few years. Our two main characters still have pretty separate storylines, and the book shifts from one to the other and back again. It's a solid continuation of events, uncovering some of the mysteries, some things are explained, still plenty to figure out.

What that cliffhanger pissed me off! I knew there was something up with that guy! Ugh, what is this big secret that everyone is keeping and why do they need Cettie so badly?
I cried tears of joy and sadness in this one, so many hurtful and happy things. I do wonder what the peace treaty will bring and how things can move forward with both lands.
I am soooo excited to see how Sera grows n0w that she is able to do the things that she wants to do with her life. I feel like she will bring so much more to the table than people give her credit for. Adam is such a sweetheart and I love the love that is blossoming!

Extremely good story. Loving the cast even more as time goes on. At first I was annoyed at all of the missed time between each book, but the events in each segment good enough that I got over it.

Love the villain, love the world, looking forward to what the cast does next!
