Omg! Did this series get REALLY good!!! Sarah J Maas seems to start her series off simple with minimum characters & world building & their good. But once she’s a book or 2 in, she like let’s loose! Quadruples the amount of characters, makes the world so much bigger, and just lets all the drama and problems unfold. & I have to say it is a brilliant strategy. You don’t necessarily get fully hooked to the story in the beginning, but she’s not throwing a lot of stuff at you at once. If I started this book without having already known some of the characters, I don’t know if I would have been able to follow along and remember who all the players are. But having been brought into the story slowly, I followed it so easy, and I am thankful for that!
This book was incredible! I can’t wait for the rest of the series & to hopefully meet even more amazing characters!

This took me a bit longer to get through. I felt like I was missing out on Easter eggs and Celaena's past due to me not reading the prequel to the Throne of Glass series, The Assassin's Blade. So I stopped around 50% and listened to that audio.

Heir of fire is a rocky transition through the series, with so many new characters being thrown at you. Along with grasping people in Aelin's life merging with those in Celaena's life. 🥵 

it's REALLY overwhelming😭😓 Especially Rowan's transformation...I still have no idea when that went down and literally questioned if he was a new character😅😭🤦🏽‍♀️

Then on top of that,  there are sprinkles from Manon's perspective. Celaena killing one of the iron teeth witches elder's stirred their cauldron. I think she alone should have been a novella within the series..unless there is one...I'm tired just thinking about it. 

I do love her creature/dragon companion Axbraxtos and them learning to trust each other. 

It literally felt like I was thrown from the ToG world and projected to the iron teeth witches world.

All I can recall at the end is Celaena/Aelin reconnecting with her true self and declaring war as terresan's lost queen....it's A LOT. 

I'll probably take a break from this series to gather my bearings.

Tohle tedy byla jízda! Konečně jsme se někam pořádně hnuli, to se mi líbí. Přesto byl pro mě začátek knihy extrémně nudný. Musela jsem dokonce začít číst jinou knihu a do čtení Dědičky ohně jsem se nutila. Měla jsem to asi takhle: První část se táhla, ale přesto tam byly zajímavé kapitoly. Druhá část byla jiný level a nedokázala jsem odtrhnout oči..
KONEČNĚ, KONEČNĚ se objevily nové postavy! Sice se objevily asi na tři minuty, ale byly tam :D. Začnu Rowanem (btw vážně ho nebudu nazývat Jeřábem, protože tenhle překlad je debilní), protože zde byl nejdéle. V první části se choval jako největší kretén, takže nečekejte žádného "hodného" hocha o kterém jste slyšeli. V druhé části už byl milejší a nebyl tak nabručený, jako na začátku knihy :D. Samozřejmě si mě hned získal, jak jinak.. Ostatní postavy se tam objevily vážně výjimečně, ale i tak jsem za to byla ráda. Doufám, že v dalším dílu dostanou více prostoru :) ..
Kapitoly z pohledu Manon mě bavily. Hodně jsem četla, že je měla nudný atd.. přesto mě ale bavily a dokonce jsem se na ně těšila (tady jde vidět jasný příklad, že každý má jiný názor a je to úplně v pořádku!), ale musím uznat, že občas jsem chtěla kapitolu přeskočit.
Aelin je vážně skvělá a drsná postava. V tomhle díle bylo vidět, jak je ze všeho zlomená a pomalu se dává do pořádku. Bylo fajn sledovat její vývoj.
Dorian je moje zlatíčko a ten konec mě zničil, takže pevně doufám, že Aelin nakluše do hradu a nakope všem zadky :D.. Chaol je Chaol. Já ani nevím, co si mám o něm myslet. V Půlnoční koruně mi nevadil, ale tady jsem začínala ztrácet trpělivost.
Dějové linky mě bavily. Většina z nich se začala pomalu spojovat, ale přesto toho spoustu nevíme, takže jsem zvědavá, jak do sebe všechno zapadne.
Rozhodně to byl skvělý díl, jen tedy ten začátek se moc táhl.
