It’s exactly the kind of unreliable female narrator slowly descending into madness subgenre I really don’t like. It’s written really interestingly. Maybe I’d like it better as an audiobook

I thought this was going to be a banger for me because I love the idea of women being werewolves and how changes of the female body align with the werewolf transformation but honestly I thought Such Sharp Teeth was more successful at drawing the parallels of motherhood and werewolfism. Also the cat scene and cat slander. We’re a cat family in this household so sorry but I really can’t let any of that go. 🤷🏻‍♀️ Loved the ideas, meh about the execution.

I really don’t appreciate the cat death or slander. I also just didn’t understand the point of this book. Maybe for parents this was eye opening but for me this was just a fever dream that had no other point than to just be shocking
