This book was so heartbreaking and sad…I had to keep reminding myself that this was a true story and not made up. Beautifully written. I hope that Jennette finds peace and happiness in her life.

I can't say I *enjoyed* this book because it was one of the most depressing memoirs I've ever read. But I do greatly appreciate how vulnerable and open McCurdy was with her readers. It was a really raw and personal look at mental health, toxic families, childhood fame, sexual assault, and other trauma. It also is the best example of how much you never know what someone is going through. I watched Jennette as a kid and would never have guessed this was her life behind the scenes. I'm really proud of how much progress she has made and how much she has overcome.

Well written autobiography. My favorite part was the beginning and how details of her home life were revealed. There was the initial introduction and then the eventual revealing of more. Even the last chapters had additional major life revelations.
