Just wow. I couldn't stop reading. Growing up watching icarly, getting older and recognising the issues with Nickelodeon and child acting. This book puts it all into perspective in a way that is impactful.

Jennette tells a story from childhood to dealing with a troubled foundation as an adult. Her writing is captivating and it is clear that this book was a passion project

With the level of hype surrounding this book I wasn’t expecting how brutal and dark it was. For this reason it surpassed my expectations.

Because Jeanette McCurdy is such a talented writer, the tension is held perfectly and grants permission to chuckle at the lighter and more flippant parts, which are woven into an otherwise harrowing book.

As a fan of iCarly in my youth, it was particularly hard to read the shit going on at Nickelodeon, but I’m happy to see where Jeanette landed.

I’m Glad My Mom Died by Jennette McCurdy is a stunning celebrity memoir that really shows what she went through. I personally dislike celebrity memoirs most of the time, because they never really have anything to talk about, and when they do, they never really do it well (apart from a few exceptions). This is not the case with I'm Glad My Mom Died. This memoir is packed with so much information and it is an absolute page turner!
