I first came across this author after reading 'When Love Feels Like A Pocket Full Of Snails!' which was just the most perfect chick lit book, I absolutely loved it.
I love the titles of this authors books they really stand out and grab the readers attention. I really did not know what to expect from a book with the title 'Sex, Lies & Corned Beef Pies!' but needless to say as I enjoyed her other book I knew I would enjoy this one and I'm pleased to say I wasn't disappointed.
In this story we meet Mae a struggling student. What I love about this authors books is that the main female characters are just your run of the mill everyday kind of girl. Mae actually reminded me slightly of Bridget Jones. The author keeps things real to life and it does make for a humorous read in parts.
Needless to say I loved Mae's character she is so realistic and all readers will be able to see themselves in her. I also loved Bert and i can't imagine anyone not falling in love with this sweet adorable old man.
This is the perfect book to lose yourself in, it flow so well and is sweet and funny.
Sex, Lies & Corned Beef Pies! is a must read for readers that love chick lit and I'm sure like me you will not be disappointed!
