Interesting read. Has some great insights on how our guts work. A little slow in places.

A friend suggested this book a few years back and having read the library copy I decided to buy my own. The book is brilliantly written; however, I would love for there to be an index of "issues" in the book, as to use it as a reference is quite the challenge. Still, I found a lot of answers when I skimmed the book after a Coeliac diagnosis.

A fun little science read. I really enjoyed how this author explained in plain english the science and inner workings of the gut, complete with fun drawings, analogies, and jokes. This is an informative book that makes learning more about the human body easy and fun.

The best non-fiction book I’ve ever read. Easy to understand for everyone, no scientific background required. Even if you are a scientist/doctor/nurse this book will help you to clarify, in a simple and fun language, many concepts we refer to daily.
Please nobody misses this book. It’s pure gold!

Ok I’ll be honest, I skipped around towards the end of the book. I did learn about the digestive system in more detail and a lot of the information about food intolerances were relevant to me. But I think I took too long of a break after steadily reading about 60% of it and ended up losing my momentum.

A really great introduction to the gut with a lot of well laid out information that challenges our idea that the brain commands our bodies.
