A typical detective chasing serial killers story - but I enjoyed it a lot, it helped me get a little step further out of my reading slump.

Finished this book in 2.9 hours and in one sitting! What a great book, I honestly didn't expect the twists and turns throughout the book. I was hooked from the first page till the end. The plot and the characters are well written, I could picture them vividly in my mind. That can only be done when the book are well executed. I will definitely read other books written by the author.

Another buddy read for this series, but I was shocked at how different the layout of the book was. Instead of how past books are like, this time we find things out the same time as Hunter following this through the investigation that becomes more and more personal to him from his past.

The first half of the book is quite slow, not as fast pace as the books before. But once it comes up to half way through the book that’s why things start to blow your mind. Through each chapter you get shocking realisations and very emotional chapters that leave you wanting to huge the MC.
I was left heartbroken and every time I thought that this is it, it gets worse and worse. I would have to say that this killer is the worse that Hunter has come across. Not only because it’s personal but because it opens up old wounds and feelings that Hunter has kept bottled down.

I am excited to see what the next book is going to be like, and so far I am loving this series 😁 x
