This was my first book by this author. I am going to have to go back and read the rest in the series. After a divorce, April is trying to move on and pick herself back up. Navigating her new life with her kids, a job and an ex husband that isn’t there is hard. I liked how the author made life real with the kids and not all fairytale. Jack is thrown in all of this and does an excellent job navigating being there for April’s kids and her.

I received this ARC through #netgalley and I am voluntarily reviewing this book

The Mommy Wars are alive and kicking on the internet in this new stand alone book by Christina Hovland.
April May Fall is a great read for anyone who is struggling to hold their life together despite what the world wants to throw at them. All the yoga in the world is not helping April reach her inner calm. Good thing she has such good friends who will look out for her.

April Davis is trying to keep her life on track after her husband walks out on her and their 3 children. A viral video threatens to undo all the work she has done to become an influencer. Enter Jack, her handler, it is his job to make everything right and he is perfect at his job.

Things start to heat up between Jack and April when he is forced to move into her spare bedroom. I love how their relationship unfolds from this point on. Jack handles April and her children’s emotions with great care.

April is thrown for a loop when her big live interview takes a turn for the worse. It is at this point that we see the real April and she is awesome!!!

Thank you so much to Net Galley and Entangled Publishing, LLC. for sharing this eARC with me.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

This book will have you laughing out loud from the very beginning to the end. I think April is a such a relatable character for all women! I was sucked in right away with this one! It was hard for me to put it down. If you like single parent romances add this one to the list!! The cast of side characters were just as amazing as the main characters! There was no long drawn out unnecessary drama. I would absolutely recommend this book!

Received a arc for a honest review.

This is Book #3 in the Mommy Wars Series. I have not read the other books, but I want to. This is the first book I have read by Christina Hovland.

I needed to read a book like this. Calming mom. That’s what I have been trying to be. A calming mom doesn’t use energy to yell and fight with the kids. She uses that energy for something more important. Moms need to work at encouraging each other. Not putting them down.

Kitty was so eccentric!!! She says what’s on her mind with no filter. Loved Jack & April and the kids. Ribbit!! You need to read the book to find out what Ribbit means!!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I give this book 5 out of 5 stars.

My top thoughts:
This series is 3 for 3 for me! I just love the characters and the realism of being a mom trying to juggle a career and all the things your family needs. This book had everything the others have had: great characters, romance, and so much humor!

What I liked/didn’t like:
April May Fall, like the earlier books, gives us a divorced single mom – April – barely holding it all together. April, though, was recently snatched up as an influencer who teaches yoga and is branded as a Calm Mom. But her very recent divorce has left her anything but calm. And it all implodes in a fairly hilarious, but potentially career ending (before it really starts) viral video.

Thankfully, Jack — who represents the company that has put all this money into branding her and happens to be Rachel (from book 1)’s brother — still believes in April and is determined to help her pull herself back together. To do this, he flies across the country and takes up residence in a bed and breakfast across the street form April. And the way to help her is to insert himself into her life, which results in some pretty hilarious interactions. I just loved watching him try to navigate suburban single mom world and winning over the entire family while he was at it.

On top of the growing relationship between Jack, April and her kids, we also have the continued friendships that we’ve seen in the previous books with the other moms. It was great to see the couples we’ve already come to love growing in their relationships/families. And I love seeing solid friendships — great friends are sometimes the thing between me and insanity in this gig called motherhood, and this series really captures that essential bond.

I really enjoyed this quick (I read it in less than 2 days), fun romantic comedy – it, like all the books previous, hit the sweet spot. It’s sweet, flirty, tender, sexy, and hilarious.

Narrator thoughts:
As with the previous books, Petrea Burchard was the perfect fit for this book. She delivers the characters with personality and captures all the moments – from the sweet to the sexy to the hilarious – beautifully. I highly recommend listening and I was able to enjoy at my standard 2x speed.

Is there truly anything more terrifying than having one of your worst moments go viral?

April has made a living as the Calm Yoga Mom. While a live event with her three kids and a dog leads to one kid sliding items off the shelf, and the other repeating a curse word she learned from a grandparent. This leads to damage control. Her PR company sends Jack so is in town to help her fix her image.

April and her kids are recovering from their Dad leaving her for his skydiving instructor. The kids were quite a handful but also so adorable and full of personality.

With her trusty crockpot Chili, her mounds of laundry, and her calm fully lost Jack is a nice sturdy presence.

Now their attraction to each other is a different problem.

April is trying to find her equilibrium. With the help of her feisty friends, sexy Jack, and a celebrity chef she just might be the Calm mom again. However if not, it happens.

I received an arc for review, all opinions are my own.

Perhaps I just don't have the right mind for some romances, but I just can't get how people fall into love so quickly in some romances. I don't think I've ever done that in real life, so perhaps that is why I find it so odd that April meets Jack in person for the first time, and starts looking at him like he is the best chocolate on earth.

April is an influencer, whose thing is Calm Mom, which she totally fails at when she has to do a live stream. She has been slowly losing it for the past year since she got divorced, and so Jack has to come out to "fix" her. He is the equivalent of her manager.

There are also a squad of female friends, there to help her.

I liked the kids. The kids were what made the book, especially her son who only wants to speak in frog. And Harmony, her oldest, knew what was going on, and was on it.

My problem was I didn't get the insta-love. And I thought it rather unprofessional that they would even consider sleeping together, but that's me.

Other than that, it was an ok romance, that started off slowly, then gained steam, even if the steam was not the kind I wanted.

Thanks to Netgalley for making this book available for an honest review.

i have to say this book took me too much, and I just didn’t feel connected to it .
Now the plot was good, and the story well written, but I didn’t connect with the characters.
Jack and even April seemed dull at times, and literally the MCs were the kids.
They were lacking spice, backbone, something.
This is definitely a light book, something with no hard storylines. It was pretty in pink kind of book.

I still gave it a 4 because I know that someone could’ve probably enjoyed it lol and because the story’s actually good. And just reading about April rebuilding herself is refreshing.

Romance: 3/5
Spicy: none.
