Wow! Beth O’Leary has outdone herself again!
This is a bit of a slow burn to start with, but after the big reveal it is completely unputdownable. I ambled my way through the first two thirds and then read the last third in one sitting! O’Leary has a way of leading you to believe that Joseph, the ‘missing man’ is messing people around and yet still somehow getting you to root for him. The narrative is told from three different women’s perspectives and way the plot comes together in the end is completely genius. This book broke my heart and then filled it with hope!
