I read this book to my kids. They didn't seem to enjoy it and it was a little too far fetched for them.

I LOVED THIS. Neal Shusterman, you have yet to disappoint. I honestly don't think Neal can write a less than amazing book... His stories always catapult you into another world completely, and you find yourself so submerged within his perfectly crafted universes, that you truly start to think they're real. Time after time, his narrative blurs reality with fantasy so flawlessly; so much so that it's hypnotizing. His books always linger in my mind long after I've finished them, and this one has as well. The Dark Side of Nowhere is yet another one of Neal's masterpieces. I really recommend reading some of his novels if you have yet to!

The writing style is good but this was not a great first book to read by Neal Shusterman.

I really wish that we could give half stars because this was almost a four. The book takes a childish idea (my parents are secretly more special than I thought and I'm destined for greatness) and explores the darker side of that in a way that was legitimately disturbing at times. The romance was awkward and I thought that the resolution was rushed but this is a unique book told in a captivating way.

Really cool and slightly creepy, just like the best of Shusterman's books.

Uh...
1. This is a really good book. I'm not going as far to say that it is great, but really good.
2. Can get kinda confusing at parts.
3. Sometimes I thought the writing was absolutely terrible, and the plot was all messed up, but THE END THO.
4. I would never, in a hundred years, say that this is better than unwind.
