This is a fun battle of wills between two people who are great together. I enjoyed watching as their relationship went from sparks to fireworks.

This was such a fun book! It captured my attention from the beginning until the very end. I loved the banter between Sophia and Larkin. It was fun seeing Mr. Tuttle-kirk change the lives of more people. I've enjoyed this series and all the authors have done a wonderful job. With all their witty dabs at each other, I wasn't sure how they'd get their HEA.

Rebecca's writing style is fairly unique. I love her enemies to lover tropes, they're so funny to me! The quick wit is definitely appreciated and reminds me of a regency sitcom.

Did not finish at 10%. I was set to like the main characters. They didn’t have high expectations and seemed to have fairly good attitudes. As soon as the will is read, they were sniping at each other. It feels lazy. Why would someone who expected nothing immediately hate a co-heir they had never met. It made no sense and was such a negative way of starting what could have been interesting. I have no patience for a book that starts like this.

Loved this rival story! In a strange twist of fate, two people inherit half of an estate. Sophia and Larkin are immediately pitted against each other as they must learn how to share the estate. Neither one is backing down, and each tries to find ways to irritate the other until they are forced to work together for a neighborhood tradition. Both begin to realize that there is more to their rivalry than meets the eye.

The banter and fun escapades in this story kept me turning the pages. Both characters are thoroughly enjoyable and one can't help but want these two to finally put down their rivalry and work together. This is part of a four book series, but each story is a stand alone. I highly recommend this series.

4.5 stars because this book literally made me LOL!
Rebecca Connolly is a master at banter between the main characters and this book was her most bantery of them all.
Sophie and Larkin are rivals to inherit an estate, each trying to outlast the other. They end up moving in to the house—with Larkin’s pre-Alzheimer’s mother as chaperone—in order for things to remain proper.
The catch: Larkin inherited the main house, while Sophie inherited all the furniture inside that section; Sophie inherited the addition of the house, but Larkin inherited all the or furniture inside that section.
Zany rivalry and roasting ensues.

It was a light, entertaining read.

Note: this is a series, but they are all stand-alone books, written by completely different authors and each story has nothing to do with any of the other stories.
