The Brothers Flick is a very fun graphic novel. Four brothers live in Strander House, a strange orphanage where weird phenomena happen. The siblings enjoy investigating the different house’s wonders. An ogre in the closet ? No problem. A moving statue ? What a joke ! Separated in ten chapters, we explore the house and meet its inhabitants, not always humains.
I really loved it and I hope more stories will be done in the future. I was fascinated how the four siblings searched for explanations to outbreaks of supernatural events. The monsters appear most of the time more scary than they actually really are and the orphanage just gets new inhabitants. It is a perfect read for the season and the art is fabulous.
If you love fun and mysterious adventures, this graphic novel will be perfect for you. Young readers will enjoy it as well. It is scary, but in a very fun way. The monster hiding under the bed won’t be as scary after reading this book ! It may even become a friend.
