I have waited a very long time for this book and I have to say it was worth the wait. I love being inside his head and seeing how he truly feels.

Ana and Christian have married. They've walked down the aisle, toured a bit of Europe on their honeymoon and have come back to reality. Christian is determined to protect his loved ones and find out who is out to get him and why. Can Christian protect his family? Will he find out who the threat is? And will he be able to stop them?

Finally, the series is over. I never thought I'd get to this point. It was 755 pages of conflict for me. There were times when slitting my own throat would have been quicker and times when I was finally getting into the book - the latter not as often as the former.

I wish we had more story of her pregnancy and their interactions with Teddy. I think it could have been interesting considering how Christian initially felt about the pregnancy. I wish there had been more of a plot, more of a story, more of something, instead of a lot of nothing.

The first few chapters were kind of interesting. They were probably the best part of the book, the lead-up to the wedding with them preparing for it, writing their vows and the disagreements that threaten whether it'll go ahead or not.

What does Christian exactly do? He's supposed to be this big, control freak of a CEO but does he work? He seems to spend most of his time either emailing Ana, thinking of Ana or just appearing at Ana’s work. Oh, and sulking. He spends a good deal of his time sulking because he can't always get his way. Not that I'm complaining if the parts of him working are anything to go by.

Ana is by far feistier in Christian’s POV than she ever was from her own, and the only saving grace is that with Christian’s perspective, we don't get her inner goddess or her subconscious. A blessing. That aside she is also actually a lot nastier to Christian from his POV too.

There did seem to be some character development though. Six books in and finally a character starts to grow, to change, to evolve, to better themselves - CHRISTIAN!
SpoilerAfter acknowledging the wrongs that Elena had done to him, the abuse, the trauma he finally comes to terms with it being wrong, but still seems to be of the thought it was best for him. I can't believe it took him so long to see her for the predator that she was. Elena was such a toxic witch though - texting him the day of his wedding, making a pass at him after he's argued with Ana. It's almost as if she's trying to manipulate him again.
