I will never stop recommending the Clementine Creek series. All my small town romance girlies have GOT to check this one out.

Forever in the Country is the long awaited story of Sorren + Rhea. I was so excited to finally get theirs! I knew their chemistry would be great and was definitely not disappointed!

But what I love the most is how Rhea stood up for what she deserved and made Sorren confront some of his demons, while still being supportive of his feelings and struggles. She consistently showed up for him until he learned he could count on people. I loved watching Sorren finally let go of some of his childhood struggles and let himself just love fully and trust them to be there for him.

And as always, the group texts had me laughing so hard between the guys. I love this crew and their beautiful family (found and genetic). Reading these books has felt like like a really good hug that resets your soul.

You know it’s going to be a good book you shed tears during the prologue. Alexandra Hale did that for me. I shed tears.  For this being my first book by her I am very happy. I will definitely go back and read the others.

“A home, a family, a forever in this small town. I’d fallen in love and found my forever home.”

Sorren. This man has my heart. The little boy who I cried for, to the man who was still trying to protect those he loves. He didn’t realize he had a whole town to protect him. Their love for him was unconditional. Once he could get over the past, he would be unstoppable for Rhea.

“I can’t wait to be incinerated by her fire. There’s no need to worry about being burned—I plan on being completely consumed by the flames.”

Rhea knew Sorren was it for her and was waiting for him to realize it also. Being best friends with him was good until it wasn’t. She is the one who always does things for others and is the glue that keeps the family happy and together. Getting Sorren to see that will take time.

“I wanted stolen moments and kisses that were almost indecent in public and to come home after a long day and get lost in the comfort of a person who loved me every day and always.”

Overall amazing book. Quick and fast read for me. Loved it.

“Yeah well, bottom line is we all have baggage and it’s up to the people we build a relationship with if they want to help us carry it or not. We can’t make that decision for them.”

“It’s because he’ll be wondering why someone as good as you would still be standing next to him.”

I did read this as an ARC for my honest review.

Every now and then you come across a book where 5 stars is just not enough. Forever in the Country is one of those books.

Sorren and Rhea’s story has been slowly and quietly building all series and it is so much more than I ever imagined it would be. The passion is explosive and was exactly how you would picture a broody, protective and possessive Sorren to be. And the way Rhea matches him in every aspect makes them perfect for each other.

This journey is an emotional one, I lost count of the number of times I reached for the box of tissues. Sorren carries such a burden on his shoulders but it wasn’t the one that I expected it to be and it was so much more heart-breaking than I anticipated. He is such a broody hero and my heart melted as he slowly let people in and began to lean on them; slowly allowing Rhea to see and love all of him. Events in the past caused Rhea to struggle with feelings of guilt; I am so proud of the way Alexandra Hale took on this storyline. Rhea is the one that holds her siblings together, she has supported all of them through their relationships and seeing them hold her up when she needed it was wonderful.

Alexandra Hale often talks about striving for balance. In this book she has achieved that. The dark moments of Sorren and Rhea’s struggles are balanced with the lightness of the family group chat, thirst traps and family bets that are starting to pay out.

I have fallen completely in love with this family and this town. The way they show up for family, every time, no questions asked makes my heart burst. The bonus epilogue was the icing on the most remarkable cake and had me reaching for the tissues once more.
I am sad to see the end of this series.

Read this if you like:

Heartfelt communication & Angst

this book is the last one in Clementine Creek Series & I would suggest that though the books are standalone, its good for experience as well as to avoid confusion to read it as a series.

Sorren ran away from his parents along with his sister to find home in Clementine with their grand parents. Being the brother he is, he always thought he has to proteect everyone & stopped thinking about himself.

Rhea provided him peace after he was back, he smiled.. only for her..

their connection was beautiful and something I could relate to..

I loved the book to its core & the spice OMG....

 AMAZING!

The Thayer siblings are all happy and paired up. What are we going to do now? Whinneee lol

This book was amazing and beautiful and such the perfect end to the series. Sorren and Rhea have been each other’s partners for longer than they probably realized. He needed some time and space to work through things and once they finally made it official that they were a couple things went to about a thousand between them in an instant.

All that pent up need and desire EXPLODED 😍😍😍😍

They are so good together it’s beautiful. I also loved the fact that best friends each married each others younger sister lol

There's just something about small-town romances that just calms my soul. I think it's about the way the whole town and families come together to become one big family.

Plus this book has the "found family" trope that just makes the book even more sweeter. I'm a sucker for found family and this one was absolutely great.

I loved Sorren's character development and how he understood that he's not alone anymore and that he has people he can lean on.

Forever in the Country is definitely an emotional read but it is so worth it. The miscommunication was honestly painful to read but I'll forgive it because Sorren reads romance books. That is the only reason why I'm not screeching "I hate this trope!" over and over again. I'll fold like a folding chair for a man who loves to read romance books.

I loved Rhea. I love that she's a baker. I adore that she knows what she wants and just drives to get it. She is so strong and amazing.

The best thing about Forever in the Country is definitely the way the whole town came to support Sorren. They were always there for him and his sister from the moment they stepped foot in Clementine Creek. It was just really wholesome.

I am so happy that I got the chance to read the ARC of this book. I had a great time reading it and I'm really excited to read all the books that came before this one.

Sorren is a wounded war vet with more than just war PTSD. Rhea is the local bakery owner, and Sorren’s best friends’ sister. They’ve been meant to be for what seems like forever, but Sorren didn’t think he was worthy of her. With plenty of encouragement from Rhea’s family, he’s finally given the push he needs to go after what he wants.

Nothing will ever top the Thayer family chats. And Flora and Vincent Thayer are the parents everyone wants. Blood or not, they take care of those who they dub as their children.

I’m so sad to see this series come to an end. I never want to leave Clementine Creek. As sad as I am, I already can’t wait for the next series, especially knowing some of our favorite Thayers aren’t gone forever.

Thank you Alexandra for my ARC of this book.

This being the last book in this series I liked it, I liked that they gave me all the previous characters being happy and being there for everyone, I liked that they gave me a close for all this trouble with Soren and Marlee's parents and I think that's why I give it this rating.

Now talking about the story I couldn't connect with Rhea, I found her a bit unbearable if I'm being completely honest, I was so excited for the story of these two that for me it's a soul mates but it left me owing and a lot. Soren on the other hand I loved his character, how even with all his traumas he came through and how even with all the problems he had that when some of the guys called him, he was the first to be there and I loved that when he needed them they were there in the front row.

Even with all the above the story was good, fast but good, I would have liked to see much more but what can I do.

Thanks to the author & The Author Agency for the e-arc in exchange for my honest review!!
