This book had so much potential, but with the idea of only being able to use 10 000 words the explainations make no sense. Instead of calling a human cell a cell he author uses the term ”bag of water” for instance - which just makes everything he explains even more difficult to comprehend. It was a book written to a 3-year old, too simplistic and the author exaggerated the books purpose in my opinion..

I've really liked this author's other books. There's a little bit of humor here but not enough. The pictures are good. Not using the correct word for things gets old really quickly. It does not make things easier to understand, it actually makes them harder to understand and it's super annoying.

I was surprised to discover that complicated topics can be described using simple words. Occasionally I found the simple words hard to follow while easy to understand. This is a great book for kids that want to know “how” and for adults that still wonder. Recommended.
