When the unhinged link up. It is a lot going on. Between running the city literally, trying to dead all they enemies, and having mind blowing sex at least once a day. How do they have the time??? LOL. I’m liking how we are getting some resolution and clarity because honestly i was confusion in the first book 🤷🏾‍♀️. I enjoyed this story and where every POV continued in this 2nd book. The way this book ended I definitely want to see where we go in book 3. Because wtf is the Black Wolf because i had my theory on who it was before I knew it was going to be mentioned again later but now I know that I was wrong and I think i know now but shoot I might be wrong again.

Usually dark romance can be morally ambiguous. This is not the case with this series which goes far far beyond moral ambiguity and has you questioning your sanity for rooting for these characters. I can’t even say I like any of the characters but I can say I’m invested and this author knows how to tell a captivating story about the UCK kingpins and the various dramas with various members of the criminal underworld.

I would say for me this series is somewhere between 3 and 4 stars. A strong 4 stars for the author’s writing of action and a plot that keeps you engaged. 3 stars because the decision to make each book about the ensemble cast rather than a particular main couple sometimes distracts and makes you lose track of who’s who and doesn’t always allow for deeper character development that really allows you to sink into the characters. So that how we find out bits of their back stories sometimes feels arbitrary and it’s easy to be confused as to whose back story is whose.

That said, this picks up from the drama of Book 1 and the kidnapping of Dea and goes into some resolution of Henny and Tali’s relationship as well as the development of romantic partners for Shantel, Faxx and Link, while dealing with the Book 1 villains. This book ends of less of a cliffhanger-y note but still at a point where you wonder what will happen next and are diving into book 3.

This series is NOT for the faint of hear- it’s dramatic and sexy and action-packed but it is… A LOT…. Gratuitously so. Take heed of the author’s content warnings and come with a strong stomach for violence.

This was just a fun part two of the series. At this point, I like the characters I like the spice and the drama. This book was just more of the same of what happened in previous book; providing a follow up to the events that happened, while adding more obstacles to keep the story moving forward. More characters are introduced that are just as unhinged and charismatic. I cannot wait to continue on and look forward to tying up loose ends from the story.

They  introduced way too many characters. It Got confusing with all the characters names. I really wanted to see Dea and Tali’s mom recover. I wanted to see Rodney pay for his part in her suffering.

After awhile you lose track of what the plot and characters. There were too many, I wish each couple would have gotten their own book it would have been easier to digest and we would have gotten to know them better’s
