I am disappointed by this latest Dan Brown novel. He uses the same literary techniques. Even the characters (apart from the protagonist) look very similar to the ones in his previous books.

The topic of the book is again one of conspiracy, namely the role of Masons in the world and how they actually built the U.S.A. However, I found the "mystery" behind the plot quite lame. I will not give it away, but it has none of the impact of "The Da Vinci Code"

I really enjoyed this as we've just been to Washington and could picture some of the sites in my mind....the plot was exciting, and kept me interested...but it was kind of the same as well!! Overall a good read.

Disappointingly predictable.

Its not a good sign when I spend more time rolling my eyes at things than actually getting involved and enjoying the story.

First book of the month, yey!
Now, the book: It was a good book, certainly not my favourite of this series but it was good nonetheless. It plays with certain ideas and concepts that I liked and I enjoyed reading it.

This was a book that I did not want to stop reading. Not really quality literature and no real surprises. Potato chip reading.

The book was a bit of a disappointment. The situations were not realistic, considering that all of the events took place during a period of about 12 hours. No one could possibly go through what the subjects had to, in such a short period of time. The pace of the novel seemed sluggish, in spite of that. But I would still wait breathlessly for the next Dan Brown novel because, even when he disappoints, he still is a master of suspense.
