I did not like the characters in this book, I thought they were boring and cliche. I also didn’t like the pop culture references throughout the book, and really just the writing style in general. I did however like some parts and mostly the devolpment of the characters and I liked that the book was in first person.

12/10/23 Review:
Well, after reading this book twice I can firmly say that this is one of my favorite romances ever. I absolutely adore these characters. I loved every minute of this swoony, adorable romance. I don't have anything new to say about this fantastic book. But I can say that I love this book and I want to read it all over again.

Academic rivals to lovers is one of my all-time favorite tropes, and this book did it perfectly. I quite literally devoured this book. In less than 24 hours. I'm gonna need to own this book like, now cause I can see myself rereading this over and over. I loooove these characters soooOOooOOO much. I see a lot of myself in Rowan and I loved reading about a woman I am similar to. Seriously, it makes me so happy. I can't think of a single thing I didn't like about this book. Not one. Rachel, you outdid yourself with this one. Thank you for writing this masterpiece.

I really enjoyed this. I went into it blinded, all I knew was it was academic enemies to lovers. The journey where it literally went from today tonight and tomorrow was so captivating and had me hooked.
Now I found Rowan's friends very annoying, they just seemed to be so inconsiderate. Her parents were even worse, you write children's books but don't consider romance books to be real books? Uhm, chile anyways. Neil gave me very much "I seriously like you but I'm pretending to hate you vibes" and it was honestly so sweet. I felt the ending was a little rushed but nonetheless I enjoyed most of this book.

Really sweet YA romance about growing up and moving on that made me unapologetically nostalgic for high school (I'm still deciding how I feel about that one). Both Neil and Rowan are really well fleshed out and the tension is written so well! Also big shout-out for the romance reader representation, which nearly influenced me to make my fourth TikTok of all time.
