First book, and it’s clearly a set up for the rest of the series but it’s done so well that it’s not boring at all. I loved the plot, looking forward to some spice (hopefully) in later books. I like the main character in that she’s not all powerful right out the door, she’s clumsy and she has to learn. Makes her easier to like and relate to as she grows even in just this first book. The imagery is really well written!!
