Totally 5 stars, but the epilogue kinda wrecked it for me, make it less…

Oh my god I don’t have enough words to express how much I loved this book!! (and how sad I am I pushed off reading it). I have never connected to a main character so personally before, it was so crazy opening the book and feeling like I was reading about myself (in a perfect world haha). I absolutely adored Matt’s character and he’s in my top book bfs of all time now <3

I loved the bi-rep in an FMC and having a half Samoan MMC with a different culture and beliefs was really interesting. Great banter, honestly would have loved more detail on the bus reno.
Only bit that got me was when she did 3 months of therapy and was suddenly over her commitment issues enough to propose to a man she’s never even dated. Like, yeah ok I’m not buying it.
Great 🌶️

immediate 5 ⭐️. so completely emotional and beautiful and grief-stricken and hopeful and happy and I loved it so much omg. I can relate to Lane in many ways and it was so enjoyable to follow her journey and her character development was so inspiring. Matt is literally every girl’s dream- one of the best MMCs I’ve read, if not THE best tbh. His heart and his kindness and his giving nature and the way he loves was just perfect. Their first romantic scene is literally ETCHED in my brain forever. The family dynamics were so wonderful and I loved reading about Matt’s great relationship with his family and Lane’s journey of reconnecting with hers (and their journeys of connecting with each other’s). I’m gonna cut myself off here bc I can literally ramble about this book for so long but just know it was so so so so amazing.
