read the first chapter of this book last year as part of a uni course. since then I always wanted to read the full book so I’m happy I got round to it!
Safe to say I am now in favour of the argument this book puts forward.

an interesting proposal with somehow unsatisfactory ending and lack of speculation that would provide any idea what should happen AFTER one so keenly abolishes their family

Ohhh yeah. Thought-provoking and radical, an enjoyable read - didn’t agree with everything but understood why it was there :) an inspiring read

"— this is a future that can be imagined, even if it cannot be fully desired yet, at least, not by us. i don't know how to desire it fully, but i can't wait to see what comes after the family. i also know i probably won't see whatever it is. still, i hope it happens, and hope it is a glorious and abundant nothing."

left some things to be desired (namely, more arguments and less historical summary) but a thoroughly enjoyable read
