Some great essays, but in general not my cup of scholarly tea. I think the authors underestimate the extent to which not being able to track animals' autonomy informs the narratives they construct, and the believability of what they propose. Then again, as far as stepping outside my comfort zone goes, this was good, and I gained insight on several social dynamics and learned about a region that I don't know much about. Not bad then in total.
