I've been waiting for Paxtons story. This book was very well written and I couldn't put it down. This is the best ending to this series. Highly recommended

This was a story that I have been waiting to read since Lincoln and Rae got their HEA. I knew I wanted Poppy with someone good but I never thought she'd find great. Paxton is definitely that great. I love that their love story actually started years ago, even though they never truly saw it. Pax had me worried in all the prior books. He was on a crash course to complete destruction, and Candace was steering the car. That girl was a capital B that I never liked, especially in this book. The moment Pax finally shed her from his life was the moment I finally believed in him. If anyone deserves a happily ever after its him.

Poppy was so wonderful to read about. She was this shy introvert just trying to find herself. I loved all of her special moments with Pax, especially at the pizzeria. Her interactions with Mike bothered me though. He was like that festering hair that you just can never get rid of; super annoying and never seeming to take the hint.

I love the bond that all of these friends have and I'm glad that we got a slight glimpse of each of them in the epilogue. My love for Lincoln and Rae hasn't diminished but after reading Paxton and Poppy's story I have found an equal love for both couples. I mean who doesn't love a best friend's sibling story, especially when they are as tight as these two couples are.

I'm sad to see this group of friends go. They will definitely be missed; loved and missed.

This was my favorite Mariah book to date. Paxton and Poppy’s relationship starts off as a fake one with rules and terms. Paxton needed to repair his bad boy reputation, Poppy was just trying to get noticed and experience life. Paxton was also Poppy’s best friends brother that she’s always had a crush on. True feelings form but the past is trying to get between them. I loved the sports aspect, friends to lovers, fake relationship, best friends brother theme this book had.

A WIN

I absolutely adored this book to the fullest extent. When I say I didn’t want it to end I MEAN IT! These characters have quite literally stolen my heart and my expectations for my next read is probably so high that I’ll be in a reading slump

Paxton and Poppy know each other by mutual friends. Poppy is his sister's best friend and his best friend is his sister's boyfriend. They've known each other for 15 years. Though they don't exactly hang out much, they come up with the idea to fake date. This comes when Poppy's ex-boyfriend comes back to town with non-other than his current girlfriend. Paxton himself has an on-and-off ex who he's trying to get rid off, as well as bringing up his reputation to better standards. They make rules about how their fake relationship will work until slowly becomes more than they expected.

Pax and Poppy's friendship blossoms into something beautiful. They support each other in the best ways possible. Poppy with his football star reputation and Paxton with her ex-boyfriend emotional troubles. Even though, Poppy thinks she has feelings for her Mike, she also develops feelings for Pax. He does for her as well. They're mature about it; they talk about it before becoming official. It was a beautiful friends-to-lovers to read and watch it grow. If you're into sports romance or friends-to-lovers, I totally recommend this story!

To start off I want to say the reason and only reason I am giving this a four star is because I felt like I missed so much in the beginning. Events were being talked about that clearly happened in past books and I felt a little lost. That quickly faded and I truly fell in love with this book.
These two are both people I had met in the first two books of this series that I had read. I loved them as individuals and getting to watch a love grow with them as they learned more about themselves was a true blessing in the book world.
I love best friend sibling and fake dating romance books and this one check all my happy heart boxes. The added drama of the past coming back for both of them just made it so much better.
The end of this book was my romance loving hearts dream come true. Such a great quick read. So happy I was able to read this. I will be circling back to read the others.
