Good for a visit with Sookie and Cat & Bones. I also enjoyed the story by Jeff Abbott.

This collection was a good way to sample a bunch of fantasy series.

Spoiler Alert: Fantasy characters don't seem to have much luck having relaxing, fun vacations.

Bonus: One character spends much of the story as a talking dog.

one for the money(Night Huntress, #4.5)
so, i just read this for the night huntress short story. anything just for bones...hehehe. ill probally read the other short stories when i read the other authors' series which i will. but i was really happy to get the cat and bones short story. i loved the part with her mother included and im starting to like justine a bit more, like i hated her through books 1-4, but you see a different side to her in this book which i loved. cat and bones hottness! i really cant wait for this side of the grave to get more of this cat and bones hotness. the short story is no where the same as the night huntress books, b/c there were longer but this was still such a great read....but the 4 stars goes to the cat and bones short story alone....until i check out the other authors' series.

I really liked this anthology, from weird to funny with some mystery in between, this anthology as an interesting variety of stories to please a wide range of paranormal lovers! There are a few story I particularly liked and I will focus on these ones.

First, Two Blondes by Charlaine Harris. It’s actually the first short story of the book and it sets the standards high. On this vacation, we follow Sookie and Pam on a weekend to Mississippi which ends in a rather funny way and with very little cloths. It was fast, funny and seductive. Liked it!

Second stop, which has nothing to envy to the first one if you ask me, is Jeaniene Frost’s One for the money. This story features Cat & Bones protecting a human brat to help uncle Don. I LOVE the Night Huntress series so it’s always a pleasure to see C&B and it was nice to see Cat again after the Change that happened in book 4. This short story made me even more anxious for This side of the Grave and Cat’s mom was fabulous in that one!

Another story I really liked was L. A. Banks’ Seeing Is Believing. That particular story in about a girl who can See (kinda like a medium) and savage wild animal attacks in the New Orleans area. The main character will meet a boy on her quest, and I really fell for him!

The last story I wanna talk to you about is Toni L. P. Kelner’s story which is named, hold your breath, Pirate’s Dave Haunted Amusement Park. I mean the title alone is awesome lol and the story lived to its expectation. It’s about a Pirate in an amusement park and a werewolf girl. Won’t go into details but its originality was refreshing!

Of course I could’ve mentioned many more story as they all had a special element but those were my favorite =)

I’m starting to really appreciate reading anthologies because you don’t need that much free time to enjoy en entire story, and the possibilities are endless. I strongly suggest you get your hands on this book, Especially if you read Charlaine & Jeaniene's series, that book would be worth it even for those two stories alone.

I guess this one just wasn't for me, given that I'm not a terribly big fan of the paranormal genre in general. The big draw for me was the first story... the Sookie Stackhouse.. the rest I could really take or leave.

A great book with some brilliant short stories in it. Fans of vampires and other supernatural beings should definitely go for this book.
I especially loved the story about Bones and Catherine. And the very last one which has an awesome twist on the werewolf theme.

I only read the Cat & Bones story by [a:Jeaniene Frost|669810|Jeaniene Frost|http://photo.goodreads.com/authors/1235012750p2/669810.jpg]. It was very short at only 34 pages, but was great to have Cat & Bones back again. It makes the wait for Feb. 22nd for This Side of the Grave harder.
