Fun and silly, but so many of these series are so similar. I hope the next one has a few different twists

Not sure why I had so much trouble getting into this one, but it really took some effort. And I felt that the mystery was a little muddled, but maybe I just wasn't in the mood? I did love a lot of the character development stuff in this one.

The Emersons finally make a significant archeological find, Ramses & Nefret spar & squabble, they "adopt" another stray, meet a new charming rogue who is sure to show up later, and encounter Theosophists.

The debut of David and thus the start of the younger trio. Lots of fun.

If I ever name one of my hypothetical future children Amelia, Elizabeth, Walter or Radcliffe, or anything else appearing in an Elizabeth Peters/Barbara Michaels novel, know that it is because she is very much one of my favorite authors and Amelia Peabody one my favorite series/characters.

These books never get old or tiresome. The mysteries are always delightful and full of enough Egyptological goodness to give me extra things to look up, making this so much more than a whodunnit.

I'm just sorry Elizabeth Peters is no longer around to find more lost Amelia Peabody journals to give us.
