reread, i'm not on board with some of the messages and since i read a version from 1956 it still had the n-word in it.
but i still like the book a lot, and i cried a little at the end.

I have never read this classic before and I thought it was finally time I do.

There isn't really much to say besides, I found the artwork and story fun. It was such a carefree story. A great book to read between novels with more heavy topics.

why did I never read this as a kid?

This is one of my favorites! Though it is technically a children’s book, there is so much depth and truth that moved me to tears on multiple occasions.  Its a must read for people of all ages.

Despite being the ultimate classic, I'd never read Le Petit Prince in full. I read the beginning when I was very young, but I didn't get it and never finished it. When I read La nuit du Faune recently, I don't really know why but I kept thinking about this French tale. Something about philosophy and the idea of traveling from one portrait to another. I was also craving something simple and straight-forward after Romain Lucazeau's mind-boggling book. So I finally read Le Petit Prince, and I did enjoy it immensely. It's really sweet, light and deep at the same time, and it celebrates a child's look on life.
