I really like Pattersons writing as a whole. This one is written to a teen audience and although it is worth reading it wasn’t my favorite.

Thank god the chapters are short because this book was a draaaaag. The stories interwoven together made absolutely no logical sense, and every character was asinine at best or indefensibly awful at worst. Dialogue is stilted, written so that no one comes off as people you want to champion to the finish. Discussions about status and especially Rhonda's weight are so comically paper thin in their execution, it leaves a sour taste in your mouth. A franchise I hope dissolves with this lone iteration, there is nothing worth digging into here.

I like a lot of James Patterson books but this one wasn’t my favorite. I struggled a bit to get through it and kinda just finished it to finish it.

Not sure I liked this book. It was readable but nothing special. Didn’t like the story nor the characters that much.
But omg at the end not Ashton 😫😫

This was the perfect fun, fast read I was looking for. The characters were mostly well developed but I would have liked to have seen more for Baby.

There was so much wrong with this book-the flawed legal issues, the constant harping about the lead being massively fat, the cartoon-like mafia drug guys. But the story moved at a good pace and ended pretty solid. I’ll probably give the next in the series a try.
