I liked this one perhaps more than the first one. Definitely read the TWs but don't let them deter you too much. I'd say its HEA- even though it's about Maude. Read them in order, you won't regret it.Ā

These short stories tell of the adventures of Maud, an elderly woman from Sweden. However, Maud isnā€™t as nice as we typically expect little old ladies to be. We get to follow Maud as she ā€œsolvesā€ problems at home, and we get to follow her on her trips abroad. The stories are funny, quick, and remind you why the elderly should not be underestimated.

I liked it up until the very end. The last 30 pages really brought the rating down. I gave it a 3.5 elsewhere but Goodreads hasnā€™t caught on to the half star fun.

Maud gets very white savior-y at the end when she swoops in to save a random South African family she happened to meet. Itā€™s just giving ā€˜Instagram in the summer of 2020ā€™ vibes with the performatism.
