This is one of the books from my childhood that really struck me and therefore stuck with me for a long time. My dad and I have connected over books for as long as I can remember, which is basically when he gave me my first books to learn how to read. This is one of the last books he gave me before I started developing my own taste in books and started picking them myself.

From what I remember, this book gave me a good cry. In the best way possible. I don't know what it was that made me feel so connected to it, but it just really made me feel so many things at once.

When I get home I'll have to see where I kept it all of these years. I can't wait to hold it in my hands and read it again now that I've grown up (kind of).

Uugh.... I wanted to give this 4 stars, the story was so good.... Before the ending. I can't like it, and that's why, I'm giving it 3,5 stars...

It was one of those books I loved as a kid, but have not read in a while, and do not believe I will before there is a kid in need of a good bedtime reading. Absolutely worth reading
