Starts out rather funny, but it gets boring after a while. It's just more and more of the same and the ending is very unrealistic.

I would have given it 4 or more, but it just kind of fell a part a bit at the end. Still, this is a fun read, about a 28-year-old who is so paralyzed by indecision that he takes an experimental drug to try and help him choose a path.

This book was so hard to get through. I usually don’t like to leave bad reviews, but there’s a lot of drivel and blah-ness you have to wade through to get to anything semi-interesting or introspective. I knew from the beginning what the spoiler would be. Hardly any philosophical questions were raised, other than possibly this: did the author write this book in such a drab way that I’d start contemplating indecision as to whether I’d actually to be to finish this book? (I ALWAYS finish a book, even if I’m disinterested)

To all the readers who want to experience some sort of learning experience or philosophical awareness, I promise you’re missing nothing by skipping this one.

Read this one a while back now...another book I picked up on a whim. I saw the title and it immediately spoke to me as I'm indecisive myself. It was an interesting, quick read though...and I felt I could relate to the main character and his struggles.

I lent this to a friend a while ago, figuring she'd breeze through it during a lunch break one day...she still hasn't read it yet...(hint, hint).

I liked it, but didn't find it to be that hilarious. Maybe because I'm an overthinking 28-year-old myself.
Spoiler The conclusion, while charming, was sudden and rather unmotivated.

I was really indecisive about what rating to give this book. Since it's so low, I figured I'd give it a 3 instead of a 2, thought. It wasn't bad, really, but it wasn't great. It was just there. It sounded better than it turned out to be and was just bland with some interesting parts sprinkled here and there.

Oh, lots of people hate this book, point to its flimsy plot and its curious treatment of women. Can't deny those accusations. But oh damn, I found it funny and would classify it as a comic novel (and under that rubric, forgive it its use of types and its goofy plotting). And it is written with an easy fluent grace that just made me happy to read it. Though the narrator's angst had moments that were painfully familiar. But I've found few others who loved it as much as I.

Pour un premier roman, c'est vraiment pas mal. Quelques passages moins rythmés que d'autres.
Le roman prend une tournure inattendue et intéressante avec cette prise de conscience politique, ce qui m'a plu.
