THIS BOOK IS SO GOOD!!! Amazing writing, an adorable romance, all the characters have great chemistry, and every different relationship is portrayed perfectly. I lived how close but still realistic the whole family was portrayed and the assassin game added the perfect bit of tension to the fluffy romance. Seeing how Meredith is still grieving and recovering from her sisters death was woven into the story perfectly! I found myself really relating to Meredith's  struggle with her future college, and her grandfathers advice was so good. Definitely one of the best books I’ve read lately!

I liked the book, I just had no desire to continue it at about half way through.
This is what stopped me from finishing:
  • The romance was unrealistically fast and very rushed for the level of admiration and almost love they had for each other without knowing anything about one another besides the fact that they are both good looking, nice, and funny.
  • We learn basically nothing about the MMC’s personality besides the fact that he is charming, has some daddy issues, and is in search of an adventure. (Do we even know is actual first name? I’m assuming that’s a nickname because who names their character Wit Witry)
  • The grief felt forced and very surface level. It didn’t really feel bad for her or the family. Maybe this is me being cynical, but I found her fear of speeding kind of confusing because
her sister was killed by a drunk driver, not by her speeding.
  • I couldn’t stand how toxic some of the FMC’s friends were. I mean, she just lost her sister, come on.

Took me a long time to get past the first few chapters. Loved the characters and story line. Very similar to the last book I happened to read. I think it was well written because it made me cry (more than once). My dream is to own land and have summers like the family did in this book. Super cute and I enjoyed how quick and easy it was to read once I got into it

Quick and easy summer read. It has YA vibes with young adult characters - the spice is all fade to black. It’s sad, touching, and sweet at different points. I found it really enjoyable and once I got into it, it was a really quick read.

It good book about healing and finding yourself again after a huge lost. Its funny, lovable and nice. But also do not completely avoid the topic of losing someone that you love so much. Because grief its a hard emotion that sometimes can bring a lot of happier memories and get his and sometimes its just pure excruciating pain. And that why I like this book .OF bringing the hope that can be better and you do not have to forget about some but honor him. And finding yourself again after losing everything. And I love the concept of the gaim. And the whole family that is so close to each other. And I absolutely fall in love with the place in the book.
