My favorite in the series so far
Van Natta pens a magnificent story with Heart of a Dire Wolf as book 3 in the Ice Age Shifters series. I really enjoyed the first two books in the series, but something about this one, made this my favorite of the series (so far). It's mysterious and magical, and brings the characters (and the reader) on an adventure. Skyla is an unforgettable character, and the survival instinct is definitely clear. Somethings can be stand out and be unwritten, and this story brings that all together, chemistry of characters, magical intensity of survival. A grand story.
