I Absolutely loved this book! It was sweet, steamy, sexy, and it has more than enough suspense! Everyone who actually knows me, knows that I love all of JLA’s books! My favorite series of JLA is this series and jennifer makes me fall in love with all the guys from this series over and over again!

This book is about Abby who witnessed a crime and the criminals knows who she is! She went to the police to report the crime and in walker Colton Anders! For those who doesn’t know who Colton is; she is Reece’s brother from Fall With Me. Abby and Colton knew each other since high school. Abby always had a crush on him even when she was with Kevin. Colton noticed Abby in high school but he was never a cheater but he always admired her! When Abby walked into his life again he was very happy about it, though he wasn’t happy how she came into his life again but she still came into his life that way.

I want myself a Colton Anders because he made me swoon with all that sweet words and the alpha male protectiveness! I just feel that this book was so short :-(! I know it’s a novella but I always want more of JLA book’s never any her books to end!I loved Abby because I can relate to her, I think a lot of book nerds can relate to her! I really like how much Abby fangirled over book and authors in this book! I would recommend this book to everyone! This book deserves more than a 5+ star rating! Jennifer you are a queen at writing masterpieces! I also loved that small little excerpt at the end of the book with Nick and Steph! Now I really want to read the next book in this series!!!

❤️ Abril 2023 ❤️

Dream of You is a standalone novella in Jennifer L. Armentrout's (J. Lynn) Wait for You series. This novella features Reece's brother Colton Anders. Colton and Abby Erickson went to high school together, but haven't seen each other in years. But when Abby witnesses a horrible crime, she finds herself face to face with her Colton who she always had a crush on. But can Colton keep her safe from danger?

I really liked Abby and Colton. Colton was honest and sweet, and I loved him right from the start. He was great with Abby, and I liked that he had always had a thing for her. She never knew how he felt, and it was nice to see a guy be interested in someone that wasn't always perfect and put together. Abby had experienced a lot of loss, and I felt bad for her. She also had issues with self esteem, and I thought that Colton was exactly what she needed. These two had a lot of chemistry and I really enjoyed them together.

My biggest complaint with this book is length. I wish that we had been given more of these two because it seemed a bit rushed to me. There were several things that I felt could have been expanded, and I wish that they hadn't been so quickly dealt with. Though it was easy to see Abby and Colton had a connection and chemistry, I would have liked to have seen their relationship really develop. It all happened pretty fast and I felt like we missed out on seeing a lot of it happen. I enjoyed their story though, and I think it was a good addition to this series. I will definitely read more from JLA in the future, and I hope that we might get to see more of these two as the series continues.

Love at first murder witness. Or something like that.

Dream of You was pretty cute. In it, you will meet Colton and Abby. Colton is a detective working on a murder investigation. Then there's Abby, who witnessed the entire thine. Low and behold, these two went to school together and had crushes on one another.

Small world, right?

Things couldn't work out with them back in school but now, they are both free, single and ready to mingle. All bets are off now and they can finally go at it like wild animals. Turns out, a lot of really random ass drama happens in this book. At one point I was a little confused and just went with the flow.

In the end, I liked the book but wanted more - like Colton's POV. Lots of it.

it was a nice enough novella. can’t say it was crucial to the plot line or anything bc colton is the secondary character of secondary brother so whatever.

Yep, JLA goes and does it again. She writes these amazing stories filled with action, comedy, fluff, and just good ole plain love. Can’t beat that at all.

I have been waiting for Colton’s story ever since he showed up at showed up at Mona’s with a bee in his bonnet. Being that he always seemed grumpy, I was interested in how JLA was going to write his story and I was not disappointed.

Abby and Colton are thrown together after Abby witnesses a murder (wrong place, wrong time kind of a thing) and Colton is the detective assigned to the case. Both characters went to high school together but never ran in the same crowd, however, Abby has always daydreamed about what Colton would feel like under her fingertips. This story follows Abby in the days after the murder and starts to reveal just how important she is to Colton and how serious he is about protecting her.

What I loved about this book was honestly the character Abby. She was an average girl like the millions all over the world. She wasn’t model thin, she wasn’t movie star beautiful (well, at least that is what she thought,) and she confidence issues. I think I can speak for all of us when I saw that there are days when all wake up and take a look in the mirror only to just wish that we had the power to change something (or all) about ourselves. Well, that was Abby. She knew she wasn’t the ugliest woman in the world but she also didn’t see herself as someone that Colton would ever be drawn to. That right there sold me on her character. The fact that JLA can write about a woman who suffers from the lack of confidence (when all we read about are women who are drop-dead gorgeous and are brimming with confidence) and motivate me to be more confident in myself speaks volumes to her as a writer.

I am looking forward to the next installment in this series…heck, I am just looking forward to the next JLA book period.

“You know what? I’ve dreamed of you for so long.”
Colton picked up my hand and brought it to his mouth, kissing my palm. “You don’t have to dream anymore.”

I am a huge fan of the Jennifer L. Armentrout and this series in general so I couldn't wait to read this latest novella. As expected it was a well-written, sweet and realistic romance.

Abby was very easy to relate to because of her insecurities and how she let them get to her. She's every girl and therefore it's easy to connect with her character. Plus she gets to live every girl's fantasy, discovering that the guy you secretly crushed on in high school, crushed on you too. Colton was sexy, straight-forward and wasn't shy about going after what he wanted, which just so happened to be Abby.

The suspense aspect of the story was just enough to add to the story without making it too unrealistic or over the top. My only complaint is that I wish it were longer because, lets face it, I could read JLA romance all day, every day and love every second of it.
