I really enjoyed this anthology, I took my time to read it as I re read a lot of poems to take them in properly, my favourite was ‘So That You Will Hear Me’ but I also really liked ‘Tonight I Can Write’.
The imagery created is stunning, it’s beautiful and elegant and you can really hear Neruda’s youthful tone, the yearning of young love.
In addition to this there is a consistent theme of relation back to nature, which I found satisfying to read - it felt so completely personal, like a journal or a letter.
