I didn't dislike CeCe, even though I was kind of expecting to. Reading her story from her perspective helped, I suppose. There were, however, some things in this installment of the Seven Sisters series that bothered me. For example: the way Riley kept reminding us that CeCe is dyslectic (and even if reading is a challenge... how can you not know what 'genocide' means???). Plus, the lost love trope is getting a bit old, the stories (& all the pregnancies and babies) are a bit repetitive. I hope the next book breaks the cycle.

I did enjoy this book, though. It was a fun and pretty quick read. We'll see what the fifth sister will bring us.

Weer erg genoten van dit vierde deel, zowel van de historische tijdlijn als die in het heden. 4½ ster
