While I did enjoy The Christmas Wish and found it to be a cute holiday romance it does feel like something I read before: In a Holidaze, which at the time felt very unique but now the plot feels recycled. If you loved that book you will likely love this one but instead I just found myself bored.

This was just a sweet holiday romance honestly. Christmas Carol meets Groundhogs Day, with a really fun protagonist and a great love interest and a good cast of other characters. (Some of whom drive you nuts, but the book does a great job of turning it around and making you like them.) A nice little festive read tbh.

This book was a nice surprise. I wasn’t expecting much out of it, but it was well written and the banter was fantastic. If you’re looking for a bunch of ROM, this isn’t it, but stick with it, it’s a hilarious family comedy.

I wouldn’t equate this to a cheesy hallmark movie, it definitely gives off more Netflix vibes with all the pop culture references and cheeky one liners from all the characters.

Is this a rip off of groundhog day? Yes. Did every family member make me say a prayer that my family isn't that crazy and irritating? Yes. Did I still laugh out loud and love this? Yes.

I usually hate pop culture references in books, but these added to the humor so I didn't mind them. And maybe because there were about 100 Taylor Swift references, so I didn't care much.

This book totally gave me the holiday or love actually vibes (maybe because it was set in Britain?). Anyhow, it was super cute and definitely destined to be a classic rom-com book to read at Christmas! Totally adorable! Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for sharing this book with me in exchange for my honest review!

I really enjoyed this book!
It took me a little longer than expected to get into it—I think because I knew it was centred around the Groundhog Day timeloop I was impatient to get to that sooner, but it really paid off.
All the of the family and character dynamics were really interesting. I was intrigued by my own feelings about certain aspects which got me thinking!
I remember seeing it compared to a modern Christmas Carol, which is a really nice way of putting it—it nicely but not forcefully reminds us to appreciate the people in our lives and recognise what truly brings us joy vs what is holding us back.

Overall a really fun and heartwarming book that had me doing full face smiles and chuckles.
