reading this in the fifth grade really impacted me as i felt that i could strongly relate to auggie. having a disease that sets you apart from other people is extremely difficult, but the ability to be strong and push through it is really inspiring and meant a lot to me then and continues to mean a lot to me today.

Amazing read. One of those books that is so thought-provoking and inspiring but still had plenty of humor to carry it along.

Loved, loved, loved this sweet story of an amazing kid, family, and community. I hope the movie does it justice. It made me laugh and cry in abundance. So glad I gave this book a chance!

This is a book about being kind. To not judging books just based on their cover. I think everyone should read this book at least once in life because most people can learn a lot from it.

“Here’s what I think: the only reason I’m not ordinary is that no one else sees me that way."

It's hard to talk about this book without spoiling it. But I loved reading this book - and I was right, I did cry by the end.

We mainly follow August, a boy who was born with a facial deformity who's been living a pretty sheltered life. That changes as he goes to start school for the first time, and we follow from his eyes, and a few others, over the course of the year.

This tale will tug on your heartstrings, and show how prejudices are dumb and that talking really is key. There are some events where you see the story from both sides, and each side has very different ideas as to why things went the way they did. It is so so relatable, and each character has such a distinctive voice when their chapters come about.

I would really recommend this book.

WHEN GIVEN THE CHOICE BETWEEN BEING
RIGHT OR BEING KIND, CHOOSE KIND.”
