this was pretty good but a little too silly to really scare me. i’ve never thought dolls were scary so this didn’t get to me that much, i also thought the ending was kind of out of nowhere?? idk. i do love Hendrix’s writing though.

Grady Hendrix is my favorite horror author. I love everything he has written. This book was no different. However it was lacking in a couple spots. I enjoyed it but I wish the haunting had been longer and we had gotten to enjoy being scared more. Despite this I definitely recommend this book!

If you aren’t good with body horror, creepy dolls/puppets, or possession- this book won’t be for you.

However if you’re good with that, you’ll probably love it like I did but also be ready to sleep with a light on and burn any puppet you ever see… speaking for a friend obviously 😂

The only thing that left me wondering is the note in the acknowledgment. About the funeral in the fellowship hall and any tips for the police? What am I missing there?
