Meh. I liked the setting and the way it’s sort of an anthology story but with a spin on it. But the whole epidemic never works for me and I found the actual plot itself predictable.

This is one of the most satisfying thrillers I've read in a LONG time! I loved the locked-room elements and the three separate stories. Watching all the pieces slot together was so good, with the author providing just enough details for the reader to get there at the same time as the characters do. It made for some really shocking but totally plausible twists and I just ate it up! Loved it!

The tight plot and fast pacing of The Drift made it read like I was watching a movie. Right from the beginning, the tension is high, and I was hooked. The circumstances of the apocalypse and the characters' own plights are not immediately given, fueling me to keep reading in order to piece everything together.

The Drift is dark and, at times, gory, but I found the strength of the characters' determination and effort to do good enough to keep it from treading too far onto grim-dark territory. For the most part. Morality gets very muddy in this one, and it's certainly not a happy or optimistic read

This is hands down my favourite read this year. I couldn't put it down and didn't see any of the twists coming. I won't do a detailed review because I think this book is best to go into blind, but DAMN.

I liked this one better than Burning Girls but The Chalk Man is the best that I've read so far by Tudor.
Firstly, the 3 viewpoints could have been cut down to 2. The point would have still been made. To keep it vague, "the point" could have been revealed sooner. I was waiting for it and knew it was coming but too many POV made it feel like a slog.
Otherwise, I was completely engaged with the story.
Warning for LOTS of death/murder...felt more slasher than creepy horror.
