I couldn’t wait to get my hands on this. The heroine shooting the hero *twice* in the first chapter??? Say less. But outside the bubble of Rose and Dante’s love story was a lot of mafia politics. Rival families wanting to assert dominance over the other, power plays, and then extended family from Russia wanting a piece of the pie too… at times, it felt like Rose and Dante were a side story.

I did like Dante and Rose’s characters; Dante was proactive and possessive. The lengths he went to to convince Rose to marry him were honestly so romantic. He did everything to woo her and it worked out in the end. Rose was super snarky and sassy for an heir, and she was such a badass FMC.

I really enjoyed this book, and can’t wait for more in this series! It combined several elements we’ve seen from this author before, but in a fresh way. It was fun to see what characters from the O’Malley’s series are up to these days!

Okay, I loved Rose and Dante and their journey. The push and pull with them was addictive and I hope KR returns to the Scanalous Scions soon!

It’s okay. As far as Katee Roberts goes, The Bastards Betrayal is pretty vanilla. If you know, you know.

This wasn’t my favorite. It was pretty good but I was confused by the huge cast (I assume her other mafia series is in the same universe). Good for sure but her other series are better for me.
