CW: abuse, racism, bullying, assault, violence, blood
Solely story-wise, this would probably be more of a 3-star read but the Mighty Nein are so dear to me and I love them all so much, I couldn't give this any lower than 4 stars. The art style was beautiful and I loved the framing of M9 seeing the Tide's Breath and Fjord remembering his origins. That also caused the ending to be more uplifting after all the traumatic events Fjord recounted.
Additionally, I really loved the reference to the animated title sequence of Campaign 2.

Was really excited to see more of Fjord’s backstory, but it ended up being a complete disappointment and my least favorite in the series so far.
