This was surprisingly entertaining. I don’t generally like anything more modern than about 1990, but this seemed of a piece with books from that era.

My main moan was that she seemed really interesting, assertive and confident in the set-up chapter and I almost wished she was the con artist / thief that she appeared to be when apparently our hero fell for her. Surely he was disappointed that she was so less interesting than he first thought when he met her later
