I really enjoyed this take on Greek gods and was very happy with how consent was a main plot point in the story.

All the characters were very interesting and I thought the author did a good job of showing the Persephone and Hades dynamic as equal. Also I enjoyed the mention of them both being queer (although not labeled)

I actually wanted more information on the overall world, so hopefully I will learn more in the other books.

~1st POV, 2 POVS
This is still my Katee's favorite book and probably always will be. Persephone's brattiness and Hades's overprotectiveness warm my heart and make me giggle every single time. You don't read Katee's books for the plot, but it was still entertaining, and it introduced the world perfectly.
I thought she looked like a queen before, but I was fucking wrong. She's a goddamn goddess.

per my spreadsheet:
i was told the spice was going to burn my face off but here i stand with my brows and lashes in tact. i don't know why, but this book really was a slow read for me. the plot wasn't plotting for me. but even though i still have my eyebrows- i was here for the spice and i will be here for the next one.

spice 🌶  - a 5 🌶  spicy (romance.io scale)
length - just right
reading speed - read in 1 week and 3 days
did it make me cry? - nope
